 A local interpretation of NYC Popfest, we give you Dope MNL x Dr. Martens Philippines Manila Popfest! We've got a summer-ender party of the year right here! Pretty sick line-up too!

Twin Lobster was playing when we got there. Despite the rain during their set...they sounded great! And people didn't mind squeezing in one big tent.

manila's very own popfest!!!

THIS JUST IN.

Dope MNL and Dr. Marten's Ph joined forces to create the first ever Manila Popfest! Miss Meiday herself, Mei Bastes and her new baby Dope MNL will launch Popfest on June 2 at the Fort Strip Open Plaza, from 3pm onwards. The line-up consists of all independent acts such as Nyko Maca and Gafiera, Ciudad, Pedicab, Ang Bandang Shirley, Twin Lobster, and my favorite, Misyonaryo. Plus, DJ sets from Fluxxe originals Kiko Escora and Gian Romano.

Last Thursday, we were invited for the press meeting at Keg. Dr. Martens Ph co-founders Borgy Manotoc and Andrew Garcia together with Mei Bastes gave us an overview of the collaboration and the festivity on Saturday.
